In 2019, from 9-17 June, Arara collective hosted the printing crew from Le Dernier Cri — A marseille-based French silkscreen publishing company.

Traveling to Arara studio came 5 artists from the French collective, including Palito Bolino (the co-founder of the project) as well as: Ju Rictus, Craoman, Zven Balslev, and Dave Guedin; During that 7-days residence, an intense printing exchange happened: besides lots of original drawings created in-situ, we printed together artworks from all the artists which resulted in a collective silkscreened book called “TURBU LATOR: Arara VS Dernier Cri”.

We organized also a solo exhibition of Dernier Cri in the art-gallery Galeria do Sol, where they showed their poster collection, as well as the results from the Turbulator-residence in Porto. For the opening venue, they also projected some movie-animations from their production and they performed a music live-set.

As for the last 2 days of the residence, we also invited the french-collective to be part of “Feira da Alegria”— a self-editing book fair hosted in the gardens of the Fine Arts Faculty of Porto.
